In the spring of 1998 my wife Betty and I drove our Cord on its most exciting challenge yet --- a seven-nation tour through Europe and the Middle East. We
travelled with other interesting vehicles, and made some wonderful new friends.
The 'rally' was a fundraiser for the Jewish National Fund, now building a huge reservoir in Israel's Negev desert that will provide irrigation for new
agriculture in what was once a wasteland.
We shipped the Cord to England first, an adventure in itself. Here's how.
Come join an American classic on the road in the Old World. (In addition to our own photos, you'll see contributions by
Jorian Katzel, Sandra and John Barnett and Gene Epstein.)
